The Virgin of Tenderness Icon is inspired by the icon the Mother of God of Korsun, known as “The Virgin of the sweet Kiss” which is believed to be one of those painted by the holy Evangelist Luke. The icon depicts Her motherly love for the infant Jesus.
 
This is a mounted icon without a raised border. Mounted icons are created from quality reproductions of ancient icons and are printed on museum quality art paper with high quality pigment-based inks. The reproductions are mounted on birch veneered plywood and varnished for protection.
