Mother of God of Korsun is known as “The Virgin of the sweet Kiss.” The faces of Mary and the baby Jesus are close together, exchanging kisses and caresses. This icon is a reproduction of a Russian icon from the 1700s.
This is a mounted icon with raised borders. The background and frame are made with gold leaf. Mounted icons are created from quality reproductions of ancient icons and are printed on museum quality art paper with high quality pigment-based inks. The reproductions are mounted on birch veneered plywood and varnished for protection.
