The icon of the Resurrection is also called the icon of the Descent into hell. Christ is seen with Adam and Eve surrounded by a radiant glory. By the power of his Cross, Christ grasps the wrist of Adam and frees him from hell. Christ calls all those who await salvation. This icon is a reproduction of a Russian icon of the 16th century. 
 
This is a mounted icon wtih raised borders. Mounted icons are created from quality reproductions of ancient icons and are printed on museum quality art paper with high quality pigment-based inks. The reproductions are mounted on birch veneered plywood and varnished for protection.
